Fastest possible way of passing data between web-accessible forms

Scenario:  Two simple InfoPath forms published to SP Enterprise set as web-accessible.  First (START) has a text input field with a NEXT button.  Second (FINISH) has a view-only text field.

Desire: I want to be able to launch the START page (form), enter something in the field ... then click NEXT.  START page will then close and FINISH page (form) will open.  The view-only field in FINISH will have the text displayed.  Essentially, I'm looking for a temporary storage location for my field(s) as I switch between InfoPath forms (pages).

Additional Requirement 1:  I'm looking for SPEED (i.e. minimal resources, fastest transition), so preferably something that happens on the client side.

Additional Requirement 2:  At any one time there could be up to 100 people accessing START or FINISH, so the solution has to be easy to manage.

    Session objects?

A good resolution and I'll send you something nice.

There doesn't seem to be a need for two separate forms in your scenario.  Have you tried combining the START and FINISH pages into one form with two views?  That way you don't have to worry about session objects and instead simply create temp fields in the InfoPath form itself.  This should fit both your requirements as well.

Thanks Anson ... but it's more than just a START and FINISH view - there are actually 8 views and over 100 fields.  Splitting these apart would significantly improve performance.
