    Design Checker warning

I hope I am getting this in the right place. I am moving from InfoPath 2007 to 2010. My existing forms are web-browser form published to MOSS 2007, https://sharepoint.domain.com/subsite, and do not contain code. They validate fine using the 2007 design checker. However, when I open the templates in IP 2010 I get the following warning message when I change anything.

    Unexpected CSS formatting
Potentially unsafe HTML was found in view “View X”. It will be modified or removed when the form is shown to the user.

I also get the same message if I create a blank Web Browser Form (InfoPath 2007) in InfoPath 2010 and run the design checker.

Am I missing a setting when I create or open the 2007 forms in IP 2010? Any suggestions on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Hi Black and White in the South West and welcome!

Yes, I have seen this before. Apparently, there is a bug in InfoPath that results in this incompatibility.

However, this doesnt' result in anything super bad. Have you tried to publish the form? Any adverse effects?

    Hi Patrick,

Thanks for the welcome and reply. I'm finally able to get back to my test forms on the development server. It's good to find out nothing super bad is going to happen. I've added in a simple conditional formatting rule, received the error and published. I don't see anything adverse and the conditional formatting appears to work correctly. I'm off to test some more and check with the server admins.

    Thanks,

    BW
