After a two way forest trust was established, InfoPath People Picker Control = Poor Performance

Some new details - ORIGINAL MESSAGE HAS BEEN MODIFIED to correctly represent the problem.

A client of mine has a situation where the organization just merged with another of similar size. The InfoPath Browser based form peoplepicker would resolve names in 2-3 seconds while searching AD before the trust was established. Now it takes nearly 45 seconds. There are approximately 13K AD user objects in the forest (forest A). The other forest (forest B) represents approximately the same number of user objects. However, the User Objects in Forest B have not been merged with Forest A and vice versa. Only contact records have been created for the other Forest in each Forest. Forest A has 13K contact records from Forest B and vice versa so user can find them when sending emails.

Can someone explain what might be going on here or suggest some troubleshooting methods to figure out what is happening?

    Environment Details:
    - MOSS 2007 Enterprise
    -InfoPath 2007
    - Windows Server 2008 AD

    Thoughts?

    PROBLEM SOLVED

We ran the stsadm command - stsadm -o setsiteuseraccountdirectorypath -url http://sitename -path "ou=OrganizationUnit,dc=domainname,dc=com" and this resolved the issue.
