InfoPath Dev

Hi,

I am a newcomer to Infopath but am determined to learn this through exercise.
I am using a sharepoint list with lets say 4 columns(OrderID, Product, Email Adresses, OrderStatus)
All fields are freetext exept OrderStatus which is drop down list.

I need to create a form with the following functions.

1. Search for OrderID's from the sharepointlist. Perhaps using a textfield and a "Fetch" button at the bottom.
Whilst pressing the "Fetch" button another form should be used for the gathering of data from Sharepoint.
2. The data from OrderID, Product should be specified in the new form with a button that generates an email with the emailadresses specified in the Sharepoint list.
3. The form should also have a button called "Change Orderstatus". The function of that button is to change from status A to B inside of the Sharepoint list.

Can anybody tell me if this is possible in InfoPath or not and perhaps guide me in the right direction of what to learn more about.

My current level of knowledge in Infopath is just how to create a very simple submitform to

Hi Jonas-

You can definitely do all this but it's not something easily accomplishable out of the box. You might need some code for some of the steps. Instead, we would use qRules, which we created to simplify the development of InfoPath solution.

You can retrieve data from the list by filtering it: read this.

Then you can use the SubmitToSharePointList command: read this and this.
