How to populate a hidden field with Value in Contact Selector

I have a text field that is autopopulated with the user's information (via GetUserProfileByName) who is filling out the form.  If the user is filling out the form on behalf of another person, I have a contact selector control to allow the user to search and select another person via AD.

I have created a hidden field to capture the correct value via rules as per below.

    • If the person is filling out the form for his/herself, capture the value in the autopopulated field.
    • If the person is filling out the form on behalf of someone else, capture the value in the contact selector control.

The default value for the hidden field is the autopopulated field. The trouble I have is how to capture the value from the contact selector control. I have tried DisplayName, AccountId, and AccountType with no success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Scott
