I am trying to come up with a way to send some 3,000 e-mails internally every quarter to users who PC's are expiring on lease. I have all the required data in SQL, what I would like to do is send them a customized e-mail with an Infopath form incorporated in the message (possible populate some of the InfoPath form fields with individual information out of SQL?), if the user would like to replace their PC with something other than what they currently have, they would make a selection from the InfoPath form and submit to our Sharepoint site (note, we do not have MOSS installed). If they want a "like for like" lease refresh, then they just have to sit back and do nothing.
So... I am looking for guidance as to how this could be done with InfoPath (embedding it in a mail merge, potentially filling out some of the necessary fields), or if anyone else has any suggestions for how this could be accomplished, of course, with InfoPath.
