Is there any way I can tell InfoPath to retrieve data from an XML file that has a dynamic URL based on user provided information?
For example:
I have an XML file at www.mywebsite.com/xmlfiles/coolxmlfilefor*.xml
I want the * to be substitude for information that a user provides, such as their name.
After they provide their name, I want to display the <address> field from the coolxmlfilefor*.xml file.
So, when johndoe puts his name in an InfoPath field, I want my data connection url to retrieve data from:
www.mywebsite.com/xmlfiles/coolxmlfileforjohndoe.xml
And display the his address.
Sorry if this is tough to understand, I'm relatively new to InfoPath. Not entirely sure if what I want is possible.
