Do the same thing you are doing to the Command node, but do it to some other field that you can display in your form.  You can temporarily create a new field if you don't have one that you can temporarily use for that purpose.

OK, so when I do this, I get this result in the text field -

    SaveToSharePoint /url=http://*****/den/hr/Receipts /xpath=/my:myFields/my:PurchaseTable/my:Purchases/my:Receipts/my:Attachment /name=Phillip Rguser_99

Which is what I would expect, as it set the user name, and a number I assigned as the file name.

And I still get "Failed while checking for existing file" in the QRules error node.

The file's name is Phillip Rguser_99?  No extension (.txt, .jpg, .doc)?  Could you see what happens if you remove the space in the file name?

Maybe I am not understanding the point of this command.  I want to rename the file that gets saved to sharepoint because certain characters cause the file submittal to NOT work.

Why would I want to change the extension?  I don't know if my users are going to attach a pdf, txt, or doc file.

I tried removing the spaces and received the same error.

I just looked at the guide, and it states "extension will be added by qRules"

You are right about that bit of documentation.  I do beg your pardon and apologize for all the trouble you're having here.

Could you please try specifying the parameter /overwrite=yes in this command?  That should bypass the code that is having this issue and allow you to save.  Is the Show value that you are appending to the end of the filename a way to ensure unique filenames so there is no danger of an actual overwrite?

    No problem.

Just a little background . . . this is an expense report, so it IS possible that the filename that I specified could already exist since I just concatted the job name and the user.  I tried appending now() to the end of it, and received this error -

Failed to save to SharePoint. URL = 'http://****/den/hr/Receipts/prguser_ACVS2011-09-06T12:16:27.pdf'.

Shouldn't that file name have submitted?

SharePoint doesn't allow using colons in a filename.  Could you using translate(now(), ':', '-') instead of just now()?

    Still getting an error.

'Failed to save to SharePoint. URL = 'http://****/den/hr/Receipts/prguser_ACVS2011-09-06T124725.pdf'

Are hyphens or underscores a problem?

Underscores and hyphens shouldn't be a problem. That filename looks like it should be fine. Are you able to save to this library when you don't use the /name parameter and use a file that doesn't have special characters in the name?  This is starting to look like a permissions issue, or something of that nature.  Could it be the anonymous access you were talking about in your other thread?

    Re: SaveToSharePoint remove special characters?

It works now, sorry about the confusion.  In the client, I am using a "dummy" user.  In IPFS, my corporate user was able to submit the file fine, with the custom name.  It's wierd, I can do the SubmitToSharePointList command with my dummy user.

Please understand that the anonymous access problem is not related to this at all.  In IPFS, the SubmitToSharePoint list with ANY users when anonymous access is activated.

Anyway, the filename feature is great.  Thanks for all of your help!
