InfoPath Dev

I'm using infopath 2003 with sharepoint 2007. 

I have a form with a drop down list that uses a column from a sharepoint list as a data source. 

The column has numerous duplicates but I'm trying to retrive a unique list. 

I've been trying trying to stumble my way through trying to create a filter but haven't had much luck.

Any help or suggestions would be great I haven't had much with the posts I've found so far.

Can you look at this article? - http://www.bizsupportonline.net/infopath2003/shrinking-dropdown-list-repeating-table-infopath.htm - scroll down to the section (Populate the drop-down list box with unique values) where it explains about how to specify filter conditions.

I hope it works for you with minor changes to the filter conditions.

Thanks.  I read through the article but it seems to be for making sure that from a datasource the value can only be picked once.

My problem is that my list I'm trying to use to populate the Drop Down List has a series of values like

• BE1
• BE1
• BE2
• BE3
• BE4
• BE4
• BE4

I need to see only BE1,BE2,BE3,BE4 in the drop down.

Let me know if I missed something in the article or there's any other information I can provide.

 I looked at your form and the filter you used for your drop down

not(. = ../preceding::my:group2/my:field2)

My initial selction with no filtering at all from the Sharepoint List I'm using as a Secondary Data Source is

/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/dfs:BE_BU_3/@BE

I tried modifying your filter

not(. = ../preceding::dfs:BE_BU_3/@BE)

It seems to have worked.

Is there an equivelant to the shrinking list for Infopath 2010. the "not" is not working now we are using Infopath 2010.

My list no longer shrinks
