    Ajax logic inside browser-enabled form

    Hi,

I have an browser-enabeld form with an contact-field. The contact-field consists of name, phone number and company. The contacts are stored on my Exchange Server with all the information (e.g. phone number, company....). So it should be possible to type the first 2 or 3 letters in the name-field and get a dropdown list of the contacts starting with these letters. If I chose one of the contacts, the other fields should be automatically filled out with the phone number and the company. Is it possible to implement such a function with ajax or something else?

     Thanks a lot!!

Re: Ajax logic inside browser-enabled form

This post is quite old, but at least I used the search function!

I am looking for something similar. Need some AJAX integration. Would be glad if somebody could point me in the right direction (Some links, tutorial etc.). I just don't know where to start with AJAX in InfoPath.

Basically I want the AJAX Part in the InfoPath Form to make a request to a WebService, as soon as two fields in the form a filled out and display the return value of the WebService. Should be Auto-Updating if the two fields are changed.

Or are there any alternatives to AJAX?

    Thanks a lot!
