Replicate One Column in Repeating Table to Another

I am using infopath 2007 and i have two repeating tables. In the first repeating table has a field named Project_Name and the other repeating table has a field named Project_Name2. My question is: how can i make whatever is typed into Project_Name, automatically appear in Project_Name2? This would need to be specific for each row that would be inserted into the repeating table.

Please let me know if you need clarification on anything

You can just place a rule on the Project_Name field that sets the valut of Project_Name2 to the value of Project_Name.  That should work.

Re: Replicate One Column in Repeating Table to Another

Thanks for the response! The problem with that is: it takes the value of Project_Name and puts it into each field that is added into Project_Name2.

So for example the repeating table would look like this:

    Project_Name
    1234
    5678
    9012

    Project_Name2
    1234
    1234
    1234

Please letm eknow if you can help me fix that

Sorry, I didn't read your question clearly enough and realize that you were using two repeating tables.  Could you attach a screenshot of your data source?

I do not have a data source. Currently, this is simply an infopath form that i am trying to get to populate correctly.

Is there any other information i can add?

Your data source is the hierarchical structure of your form's fields, shown in the taskpane.  Can you attach a screenshot of that?

I have attached my data source in the .docx in the .zip file

    Thanks for clarifying that!

Ok, the right side was cut off, but I assume that Project_Name2 is the first node under group7, yes?

Please try using this as the default value formula for Project_Name2:

    /my:myFields/my:group3/my:group4[count(preceding-sibling::my:group4) = count(current()/../preceding-sibling::my:group7)]/my:Project_Name1

Yes, that is correct! That worked perfectly!!! Thank you so much!!!!

(I just had to change it to Project_Name, instead of Project_Name1 at the end of the formula)

Re: Replicate One Column in Repeating Table to Another

Now I added other fields to auto populate based on the fields in Project_Name (in the same repeating table as Project_Name). It works until about the 4th row, and then it just continues to only use the data from the fourth row on all the rest of rows.

     Example
    Project _Name          1              2            3
    1234                       55             67           90
    34553                      798          437           56
    23432                      9057        434           436
    1323                        9057        434           436
    4354                        9057        434           436
