I am a newbie to Infopath and experiencing an issue with validating the value that is entered into a infopath textbox. Any help is highly appreciated.
Here is my requirement.
The user can enter a value into a textbox and then I need to validate this value in the textbox so that it is not the same as in a sharepoint list item. if the value is the same then I need throw a validation error.
If I simply use the condition "txtbox field=sharepoinlist value", its working, but the problem is with the casesentivity.
so, I thought of using the Translate function. expression=.(translate(fieldvalue,"a-z","A-Z")=translate(splistitem, "a-z", "A-Z"))...the problem am facing with this approach is that the textbox value is compared only to the 1st item in the sharepoint list and not to all the values in the list.
Can any of use please help me in overcoming this issue.
