InfoPath Dev

Hi all,

Infopath forms from moss 2007 search results are opened via InfoPath client. I want to open them as browser based form. Basically I am having the same problem as: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/12926/45730.aspx#45730

Unfortunately, the issue is yet to be resolved. Anybody any ideas?

Hello Zero77, First ensure the compatibility settings are correct. Browse to the library hosting the infopath xml. At the Library go to -- > Settings -- > Document Library Settings  -- > Advance Settings -- > Under browser-enable documents -- > "Display as a Web page"

also make sure that the form published onto that document library is a broswer enabled form, otherwise it wont simply open in browser

thank you eddyblanco & qazi, but these setting are already set to the ones you mention. So unfortunately, we still have no solution...

well, when you open forms from search results, it opens them in the client not in form services. because the default viewer of infopath forms is infopath client and not form services (in sharepoint). i hope some body knows a workaround and shares it here

 The important thing to note with this issue is that it is the results from a search in MOSS 2007 that need to open ion the browser.

If I go to my form library and click "new" or open an existing form it works fine, it opens in the browser great.

But when I go to my search centre and click on a search result that is a Form, it opens in Info Path instead of the browser.

I haev this same issue - when I search and find an infopath form tries to open in infopath - I want it to open in the browser.  I have set correctly in the form library and I have set to open in browser in central admin.  Any suggestions or did you give on this?

 No luck my end, I am sure there is a way to do it but it is way beyond my ability.
