    Auto generation of repeating section

I am new to InfoPath (2007), but have some experience with .NET development.

I have developed a form template that does what the client wants, but there are a couple refinements that would be nice. For example, when a user chooses to add a certain repeating section, logically he must also add a repeating section in another area of the form. Ideally, choosing to add the first repeating section would automatically generate the new repeating section in the other area. I cannot imagine how this might be accomplished.

There is a strong possibility that we (a government organization) won't be able to use .NET code. If you can imagine script (which I'll presume is allowed), that might be the most practical approach.

    Thanks in advance...

    PS. Non-browser only.

Re: Auto generation of repeating section

    Without code.

    1. I would think you could merge the two repeating groups into one. That way both sets of fields gets created at once
You can still separate the fields into two seperate repeating sections on the form. That way they can have different conditional formatting if thats required.

This won't work if you need multiple records for the second repeating group for each first repeating group.

    2. If that's the case, then the option is to put the second repeating group INSIDE the first one.
When the first one is created, the second one will have a single record create by default, and still allow more to be added.

     Hope these 2 suggestions help.
