Get Value and Display name from Dropdown - promote both to library

I have a basic list (Directors) with 2 columns I'm using:
    Name
    Division

In my IP form template, I have fields for Director (combobox - loading 'Name' column in Directors list) and for Division (textbox)

When the user changes the Director ComboBox, I want the corresponding Division in the Directors list to populate the textbox, so I can promote both items to the forms Library

I need to find out the simplest way to do this. I've been run through the ringer today, with people telling me how simple it is, but apparently I'm not getting all the steps to do this and I'm feeling quite stupid and frustrated.....

If this is not clear enough, please let me know.
Can anyone guide me to a tutorial on a step by step way to do this?

    Hi augustwind,

You have to filter your list to do this. Open the properties of your Division text box and click on the fx button for default value. Then, click Insert Field or Group, select Division field from your list (because that's what you wanted to display in your text box) and click Filter Data. Next, click Add. In the first dropdown, select the Director field from your main data source. Next, select condition "is equal to". In the third dropdown, select the Director's Name field in your list. So it should be something like: Division[Director = Name].

Let me know if that works.

    Thanks,
