    infopath 2007 question---help

I am not a computer savy guy, but I was able to make a cool form using infopath

The form is for a group of my firends that play madden and is a form people in my league will fill out after each game...

The form can keep data about their experiences of their games they play...just fill out the form and  save  and  email attachement to me...I will export data to excel  and  I can keep track of different answers/data from my form

    So what is my question

does everyone in my "league" have to have infopath to be able to recieve this form and save and email back to me

is there any "viewer" like adobe has that they could upload form   fill out form and save and send back to me

    thanks   for any help

hoping the answer IS NOT that they everyone needs infopath to be able to view and fill out form

    thanks

    Hi 3rddegree,

How's the InfoPath dimension treating you?

Yes, if you are emailing, they need to have InfoPath and Outlook. Better off using a Web browser and emailing a link (in which case you need not InfoPath or Outlook)

Microsoft SharePoint has a viewer and it's called IPFS and it's expensive but you can just sign up for a cloud-based offering and save money. :)

Ooops... I guess the answer is not what you wanted.

But, you were born on planet earth. Life is good. You won the lottery. So, InfoPath is merely icing. :)

     2 Things...

     1.  Pretty immpressed.. Just a couple days ago I wrote on facebok about ow life is good and I hit the "lottery" in life  and then your reply

    2.  When you say web Browser  are you saying add form to a "website" (like the one we(my friends and I) have for my maddenleague) and they could access form there fill it out and then submit...or  save and email??

or do I need a "special website , like sharepoint??

We all won the lottery but not everyone realizes that. Probably their souls are still suffering so prior life grievance (not that I believe in reincarnation, but the other explanation - humans are "whiners" - is a non starter). Anyway, glad to find a kindred spirit! :)

You can't use InfoPath on your website - Microsoft doesn't give away the support for browser forms (InfoPath Forms Services). You have to have SharePoint or a third party app. There aren't many others out there. We have one that is great for reading forms but barely sufficient for submits. It's not free either but way cheaper than Microsoft's.

Of course, if everyone as InfoPath on their local machines, it's a piece of pie. You can publish to a website and just use the InfoPath app. Easy money.
