    Printing Web Part Infopath Form

    All,

I've a InfoPath form with multiple checkboxes and option buttons, contained within different sections. The form is quite long. It is filled out via a browser (IE9), thus the form is contained within a web part. I only want the web part printed out and not the whole IE page.. The only way I can find to print the web part IP form is by using the following code - http://www.go4sharepoint.com/Forum/printing-data-wss-list-15773.aspx

It seems to work OK, but not all of the checked or selected options are printed out.  They don't even seem to come across to the 'Print Preview' screen. I thought it might have somethng to do with the heigh and border size - see code. I've changed that and still it doesn't happen as expected.

What might be going on, or how do you print out your IP web part forms? Ideally just the web part only.

    Thanks

    Hi Wilkies010aw,

It's a browser form so you're printing from the browser, unless you write code, which is what you've discovered, but the code is not good. Printing programmatically requires a higher level of security than what is granted default domain deployed browser forms. In addition, the printing code will be running on the server and it won't have any idea of the device since that's local. There's no good solution for this today. Muhimbi has a server print utility that you could look at, but it's not great.

Sorry to rain on your print parade.
