InfoPath Dev

A dumb-ish question: if I have code-behind in InfoPath 2003 do I need to publish it via the Form server or is it just optional?  I did a little bit of publishing InfoPath form on the SharePoint side and deployment is quite different with code-behind.

If the form does not need to be published to SharePoint then you won't use InfoPath form services, that is just for browser forms in SharePoint.

Where will you publish the template with code behind if it's not SharePoint?

ATM all the published forms (in XSN) are stored in a network locations and clients PCs already have InfoPath 2003 installed....Thanks
