    Problems opening InfoPath form

Hi, I have a number of infopath forms (2007) which have been working fine.

Last week we started getting errors when some users open the forms.

The error message is... InfoPath cannot open the following file: http:/........./QdabraWebService/Documents/2213/xxxxx

InfoPath cannot open the form. To fix this problem, contact your system administrator. Form template: http://......../QdabraWebService/Forms/NewSKURequest/template.xsn InfoPath cannot open the selected form because of an error in the form's code. One or more required components of InfoPath or the form template cannot run because of a security restriction. Contact your system administrator or run Setup again to confirm that .NET Programmability Support is installed on your computer. Request for the permission of type 'Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.InfoPathPermission, Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.Client.Internal.Host, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' failed. at Microsoft.Office.Interop.InfoPath.SemiTrust.XDocumentsCollectionWrapper.Open(Object varURI, Int32 dwBehavior) at AdminTool.Configuration.btnEditDocument_OnClick(DocActionEvent e) at Microsoft.Office.Interop.InfoPath.SemiTrust._ButtonEventSink_SinkHelper.OnClick(DocActionEvent pEvent)

No changes have been made to the form in the last 3+ weeks.

The forms are signed with a valid certificate.

The errors are seen on various PCs.

Sometimes clearing the cache seems to work - but not for all PCs.   Does anyone have any ideas ?

    Thank you

    Catharine

    Re: Problems opening InfoPath form

    Hi Catharine,

Has your IT recently instituted a new CAS policy? If so, that could explain the issue. Since you haven't changed the XSN, it doesn't seem like that could be the issue. Another issue is if client machines use Trusted Sites for your http: server it won't work. .NET needs to run in Local Intranet. I would check those two things. Hopefully it's the latter since that could be easy to check and verify (change to Local Intranet).

We'll check back here tomorrow and see if you got any farther.

    Good luck!
