    Hiding parts of a form

    Hello!

Can someone please help me out with a query?

In Infopath 2010, I have created a purchase requisition form that users can open, fill out and submit.  There are some parts that need tweaking, however my first question is:

How can I hide parts of my form that i still wish to keep, but don't want users to see?

The initial part of my form is a list of data that is pulled from Active Directory (using a piece of code) and it works well.  Some of this data is used in my workflow (email address etc) but I don't want ALL of the date to show on the form, just a select few parts.  How can I hide these??

    Thanks!

    James

If you don't want users to see a specific field, the simplest answer is to remove the field from the view. This does not remove it from the form's data source. In other words, the data is still there, in the data source, but it's not in the view (the designing canvas) so the user's won't see it.

If you wanted a more advanced solution, you could look at user roles and then hide/show sections based on the user that is logged in.
