    Using infopath2010 files in sharepoint

Hi, I don't know why, but my boss wants to use xml+xsd+xsl files in sharepoint without the typical deploying steps fom infopath 2010. He wants to modify (just few things) and copy all the files somewhere in sharepoint folders. Doyou know if is it possible?

If the answer is 'yes', can you tell me how (files to modify, folder to copy files, etc.)?

     Thanks!!!!

Hi -- I don't understand the question -- you mean you don't want to publish your templates? And you want to make changes to the source files? And the form libraries should use the source files instead of the templates? Or something else entirely?

    Alpeich:

That phrase just doen't make sense to me -- can you explain in more detail what you are looking to do?

Hi, first of all, sorry for my english.

I'll try to explain better my question:

The main idea is to work with a form generated with infopath. Then, I want to extract the xsn files and modify them with notepad (modify styles, controls, etc) and finally copy the xsl, xml and xsd somewhere in sharepoint folders. After that, I want to use this form as if it was made with infopath 100%.

I don't know if it's possible to do that, and that's what my boss want to know.

     Thank you very much.

You can modify the source files and republish the form, but I don't believe there is a way to get past the publication step. I mean, I guess if you saved the form as source files to the SharePoint folder location you wanted to use it from, and then modified your form library to open the manifest.xsf, you may be able to do this, but I'd say you'd need to test it out to be sure...
