Creating a query in InfoPath 2007

Hello, i am absolutely new. Now here is my problem, i browsed almost all pages, used search but nothing helped me. I need to make a query as the thread title says. I exported a table from Access 2007 as an XML file. I used that file to make a secondary connection to receive data. I make a button in my form, add the action to query, but i have no idea on how to make that button ask me for certain data so i can get an aswer from the query. To make it more understandable, by pressing the button i need to input my workplace name and from the xml file i should get columns that contain the inputed workplace ID and the name of the manager in charge of that workplace. Making such a query in Access was easy, here i am confused since i also used Help but no success so far. Any kind of help is appreciated, thank you.

The simplest solution is to add a field to the form. The user enters the workplace name into that field, and then clicks the button to query.

The button would have rules to return only the filtered data, that is, the data that matches the workplace name that was entered.

This blog post might be a good learning exercise since it deals with filtering data from an xml secondary data source.
