Import XML Data Source JUST in Design Mode?

I know there is a way to import an XML file (suppose for entries in a drop-down menu) in the design view and then make it a part of the template, rather than have InfoPath have to access it each time one goes to fill the form

I did this (can someone confirm that I am indeed doing this correctly, because I'm not sure if it's accessing that XML file each time it opens a form for filling):

    - Drop-Down List Properties

    - Data tab

    - Look up values from an external data source

    - Create a connection to receive data

    - XML Document

    - Browse and enter file name

    - Include the data as a resource file in the form template

InfoPath mentions that there is a way to make a "refresh" button which is only for the designer to update the template based on any changes to that XML file. It doesn't mention how to do this. How would I do this?

    Thanks for any help.

XML file data connections do have built-in functionality for requerying the original location the XML came from, but for local file locations, this functionality is disabled unless the form is full trust (url-based file locations don't require full trust).

If you want to make the location dynamic, it's possible to accomplish this using code, though this still has the above restriction with local files.

Thanks I guess I'll have to wait until I can test filling the form through the server to see how it plays out.
