    Multipage Form best practices question

I am using InfoPath 2010 with SharePoint 2010. I have a large form that requires input from multiple authors and approvers before the form is finished. Let's say there are three groups of people that will be using this form, authors, managers and approvers. An author fills in a few sections of the form, then the manager reviews the author's data and fills in a couple other sections and then an approver reviews the entire form before it is filed away.

What would be the best way to go about this? Could I have a submit button for the first half of the form (The form is currently split into five different pages on different views with back/next buttons) that notifies the manager that his/her section is ready to be complete? Would that submit button just act as a Save button? Should I split the form up into a document set and if so how to I make it easy for the approver to see the entire form at once? Any advice is welcome.

    Same reply from MSDN:

You said 5 different pages on 4 different views, but InfoPath doesn't have pages - it only has views.  Please clarify.

Submit = Save except that Saves make the user specify the filename, and they automatically save back to where they originated while Submits set the filename dynamically and submit to wherever the data connection goes.  Both submit the entire form, not just parts.

What I do is what you see in my video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADc-0VoS4ZA

I use conditional formatting and identity detection with Form Load rules to hide/show sections/buttons based on the current user and workflow status.  This can be done with or without views.  I have some articles showing the techniques on my blog:

I definitely don't think it should be a document set.  Isn't it one document filled out by 3 people?  Doing this in one InfoPath form is very much suited to InfoPath's capabilities.
