Hello All,

I have a problem in using User Roles. If I have two User Roles having different number of users under it. And I want to send mails to users under the specific User Roles on button clicked event. How can I use User Roles that are already defined on the IP 2007 form to send mail?

Can anybody please help me out this problem?

You cannot directly send the Mail to the users under Userroles. You should have an XML or list as the dataconnection to pull all the Users under a group and then you can set it under your button event.

That means I need to have XML or list as a source from where I can select a group of users. And then I have to add this data connection on button click event.

Can't we create this source from this Userroles that we have already created?

Hi Mrudula and welcome to our forum!
An easier approach would be just to use an Active Directory group for the user roles. For each group, set up a distribution list (one e-mail address) that sends e-mail to the group. I hope this helps.
