Hi, I developed a 2003 compatible Infopath form using Visual Studio 2008 on a Windows 7 PC with Office 2007.
I created an msi for it and tested installation on an XP SP3 with Office 2003 SP3 and it installed fine as "Everyone". However, I now have reports from my users that they cannot get it to install as "Everyone" giving the following error:
Cannot create Infopath.ExternalApplication
Installing as "Just me" seems to work OK but is not ideal.
Their PCs were created from a different image and I can replicate the error from that image.
Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this problem. I have tried installing as administrator but get the same error.
This is the first Infopath msi I have created using Visual Studion 2008. We don't have this issue with forms created using Visual Studio 2005, although these were also created on an XP and Office 2003 SP2 PC.
