Good day all!!!

I have created a form that consists of different areas that require digital signatures. I had tha entire form done and being used by my coworkers. Then the bottom fell out of the bucket!!! I want to modify the form and now when people go back to open a past form that was digitally signed, they get a alert box that states, that since the form was updated that the digital signatures are no long valid. Is there a way to keep this from happening? If I can't figure this out, then this form is of no use to me and will be trashed, and I do not want that because I worked many hours creating it.

PLEASE help, any words of wizdom would be great!!!!

How are you deploying the form?

I am publishing the form to a directory on our network, then, my coworkers open and save the file as the determined form to the project they are working on.

There is a way to have multiple versions of the same form in a Form Library in Sharepoint.....the best bet you can do it to publish your form to a new directory on your network and issue the users the new path to the published form. Do not overwrite the one that is already published.

You must be reading my mind!!! I was thinking the same thing, just hoping I wouldn't have to do that, but oh well... it's a Microsoft product, so I should really start coming to expect it... LOL

Wish there was a way around it!!!

"Digital signatures are no longer valid" error message is displayed when you change the schema of that particular area

So to avoid that error you need to recreate the digital signatures for that area.
