    Upgrading Templates

I have several completed forms in a SharePoint library. I made numerous changes to my IP template and published it to a new library. I've copied the existing forms to the new library, but when I open them, they are not reflecting all of the changes I made to the template. Any ideas what might be wrong, or how I can troubleshoot?

    Hello,

You need to Relink the Forms in the Form library.
In the Forms Library, Open Modify Settings and Columns
in the Quick launch bar to the Left and Select Relink Forms to the Form library under General Settings

    Hope this helps you.

    Hello ,
Did you by any chance changed the namespaces or the schema structure etc. Also check out the published url locations in the forms and Template. Also try publishing to the same form library instead of publishing to a different form library.

    dlgross,

sometimes i have the same problem and some changes do it like add new nodes to my template can't be reflected in previous documents but new changes in code are reflected.

A solution could be create again the document with the new template and in this way take the new changes, if u are working with databases could be done with automatic process.

But maybe somebody have a better answer???

I did change the schema structure and I'm trying to assess the impact of these changes on the existing forms. It appears that I may have to create a new library for the future and archive the old library. Is this standard practice or is there some other way?
