 Hello and hi,

     i have installed infopath 2007 when i try to design a form template with database  it is giving a msg saying that

connection cannot be created. Make sure that you have ADO  version 2.5  or later.

i have also installed mdac_typ 2.7 but the problem still continues. I use xp sp2 are there any issues regarding this os or i have install any additional components for infopath.

 pls help me in this regard

Hi Ram321,

You probably don't want to hear this, but designing a form from a database is not a good idea. Use a Web service. There are issues ... believe me. I'm not just trying to sell our DBXL Web service either.

Some limitations:

• Can't use with browser-enabled forms when SQL on a different server
• Can't use with XML data types (like images and rich text)
• Changes to DB or XSN render previously saved XMLs invalid (not an issue if you disable save)
• Doesn't work in an extranet scenario
• etc.
