Hello,

I have an InfoPath document library in my environment.

Everything is working fine and I can create new forms.

Recently, I backed up and restored WSS content database to another server and everything seems to work fine.

The problem that I have that some of the old forms (the xml file) doesn't open and it gives an XML error.

even when I try to upload the form again from my old environment, still, there's an error.

What can cause that some of the Forms doesn't open?

I think it's either a) because the URL has changed and the forms need to be relinked (Relink is an option in WSS form libraries which you can try), or b) the XML data source changed and those old forms are no longer in compliance (in this case, you'll have to add a custom upgrade). Hopefully it's (a) and not (b), but (b) isn't that bad.
