How to overcome the limit of items for Filtering

I have a drop down with 12 items listed that are associated with a value in another field. Of those 12, I want to have a sum of the results for 6 of those items. When I build a new field to display that sum, I can only build it to display a sum of 5 items because in the Specific Filter Conditions dialog box will not let me add more. So my Formula looks like this - sum(Hours[Event = "A" or Event = "B" or Event = "C" or Event = "D" or Event = "E"]) So, how can I add a 6th item in the formula? I tried to manually enter the data but the formula would not work. I am using InfoPath 2003 Thanks Michael Burns

This is kind of a hack, but you could use a "hidden" field (not displayed in the form) which serves as a temporary location to do some math.

    my:tempfield = sum(Hours[Event = "A" or Event = "B" or Event = "C" or Event = "D" or Event = "E"])

    my:destinationfield = my:tempfield + Hours[Event = "F"]
