InfoPath Dev

This sounds like a pretty basic question but I can't figure it out. 

In my form edit view I have a drop down with numeric values and textual display names for the manually entered items. In my read-only view I want to see the text in a text box, but when it is bound to the same datasource field as the dropdown, it displays the numeric value.  How can I display the display name instead?

That doesn't work for me because my dropdown is not connected to a datasource - the values are entered manually at design time.  Any other options?

Use an XML file as a secondary data source instead, then use that for the data source for your dropdown.
