    Making sub groups into optional sections

    Hello all

    Got a wierd problem with optional sections in infopath. I have a datastructure that has a group with 2 sub groups in it which I want to turn into optional sections. However, when I do they both open when I click on either of them...

    Has anyone else come across this problem or should I be taking a different approach to this?

    Are both your sub sections in separate optionsal sections?

    yes they are. You can reproduce the behavior by using the following structure, right clicking on each of the SubGroups (in the data source task pane) and selecting Optional section

    myFields
    -Group
    --SubGroup1
    ---[fields for SubGroup1]
    --SubGroup2
    ---[fields for SubGroup2]

    by the way- I think I should mention that this behaviour has changed since the service pack
