    InfoPath Date without days

      1024x768 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin-top:0cm; mso-para-margin-right:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:10.0pt; mso-para-margin-left:0cm; line-height:115%; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin;}

    Question is about InfoPath

    Repeating table:

    •       Field_1 - I have ‘’Date box’’ – This box where I fill out the day when I order a Card

    •       Field_2 – There are the status for Cards (new, renewal, replacement, re-issue) (there is Rule formula – If the Field_2 is New or Renewal, then Field_1+730 days valuated in field_3)

    •       Field_3 – This is the Expiry date for Cards (automatic generate)

    When I export all information to the SharePoint TeamSite, the Field_3 looks how I don`t want to look (in picture)

    1024x768 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin-top:0cm; mso-para-margin-right:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:10.0pt; mso-para-margin-left:0cm; line-height:115%; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin;}

    Is it possible somehow to change Field_3 information, that he looks like in Info Path ‘’2010.january’’ or something like this ‘’2012.01.31’’ to all repeat table rows, whatever if there are 2010.01.05, or 2010.01.28

    In InfoPath and SharePoint need year and moth, whitout day...
    Or may  be You have another ideas how can I create box, what shows ''Order day'' pluss 2 years (Year and Month, whatever what is the date of order)
     I need this information in SharePoint , and all files that I order in January 2010 I need whit the same Expiry date – end of the order month

    Thank you

    Hi MVP23,

    SharePoint date formatting is based on SQL data types since that's how the data is stored. What I recommend is to add an additional text field to your repeating table that extracts the date in the format you want to display in SharePoint. This is a hidden field that gets set when the other field changes. You can use Qdabra's qRules 2.1 (see ad below) to format the date without code (Qdabra sponsors this free forum). Then, just promote this field instead of the other one. Should be "easy as pie".

    Happy days!

    You can use substrings and concat the date field the way you like
