 Hello!

I haved created a Userform with 2 signature (certificate/signature) fields.

If the form has filled and singed by the employee it will be archived in a sharepoint library.

Everythink works well.

A requirement is that we have to change the template (sometimes we need a new field or we want

 delete a useless field).

It concerns the following, if we want open a archived form (createt with the old design)

with the changed design, Infopath shows the following:

"This form was signed with a digital signatur and was create with a older version of the template.

The form will be updated so it can be used by the new template. Thereby this form lost the signatures."

In the menu:

 Tools->Form Options->Versioning

 i ved chaned from "refresh a existing form automaticly" to

"do nothing".

But if i take this setting the archived form cannot be opened because the old template does not exist and thereby it cant be opened.

Could anybody help me?

Is it possible to make a digital signatur  that is not affected by a template update?

 Solution found already,

I m publish every version of the template in a file folder (to a network location).

In addition im change the Form ID, so that every form has an different ID.

Therefore is it possible to open newer as well as older archived forms.

Is this a good solution or have i expect some problems?

If you haven't done this and your form is set to automatically upgrade to new version, is there any way to go back and retreive an older version?
