Hello all. I really need urgent help on this particular issue:
In my Infopath Form, I connect to a secondary data source (a custom Web Service that sits in SharePoint) to pull data back into my cascading dropdowns. I use 'Infopath rules' to set what the query parameters are for my data connection.
Typically, the dataset result of one dropdown is used as the value for the query parameter tied to the datasource of another dropdown. This works fine for me UNTIL I move my project to another environment.
THE PROBLEM: For some reason in the new environment, the rules that set the input params for the web services pass NULL to the web service.
Details:
My secondary data connections are converted to UDCX files in a Data Connection Library (DCL) on Sharepoint (relative to the site Colletion)
I then move the DCL to my new environment, update the UDCX files to point to the new data connections, and Publish the InfoPath form to the new server. Then I test my form.
I put breakpoints in my Web Services and notice that NULL values are being passed to the Web Service despite the fact that Infopath has rules setting values to these data connection calls.
I KNOW the values in INfopath are not null because I can see them in the form.
So what is going on? I suspect that somehow the schema of my web service in the form has changed when I moved it to Production and now the rules are broken? Although this shouldnt matter since I am using identical code in the Web Service class on my new server. Why is this form working in the original dev environment but not the new one.
I have hit a wall and dont know how to fix this short of destroying my connections and re-creating them and all the rules.
Please help. Thank you in advance.
