I'm working with InfoPath 2007 & MOSS 2007 to developing a vacation’s template that can be used within a company intranet.
Every employee can fill this template and submitted to a SharePoint library to start an approval workflow process, I can fetch the managers list - like a direct manager and manager of manager…. up to the high management- of this particular employee from employee’s ID.
As you know employees have one or maybe five managers above of them, it’s depends on employee position.
Ending of this process will be in HR department.
This form have a malty views ;first one dedicated for an entry data I call it “Entry View” and the remaining views their contents should be in a read ONLY mode excepting the approval’s part, normally it’s contains a remark and date fields.
Based on this description of my project I have a lot of questions and inquiries like the following:
1-do I have to use a user role which is needed to disable the browser-compatibility feature on my template.
2-what is the best way to implement, if manager would like to read vacation form to approve it?
3-Building workflow by SharePoint designer needs to create activities, do I have to use tasks, or in my situation there is no needs.
Finally as you sense from my post, I’m confusing because I’m still new in workflow process, kindly can anyone guide me what I have to do.
