Due to only having Infopath 2003 now (upgrade coming soon to 2007) I have created an InfoPath 2003 form that I want to link to a SharePoint 2007 form library and then produce stats based on the answers. When I get 2007 I want to make it a web form.
Situation: We have a project Library in another sub site that our internal people work projects with. We do not want to open this site up to everyone, so we created another subsite for specific users to work in. Some of the projects in the project site require business unit input. We would ask the business unit to review the item, provide a narrative feedback, indicate if it impacts them, and check off any systems they see that it impacts. all of the questions/ sections that we ask them to fill out are the same.
Problem: We have over 35 different business units. Often times we would only send the feedback to only one or two groups, but no two projects ever go to the same groups. I want to collect feedback.
How I am doing this: I Have the collector fill out page 1 with what they are looking for then have them send out a task to the group to fill out the form. I have control buttons that navigate the user to their particular page, have them fill it out then press save so that all answers are on the same form and noone overwrites anyone elses info. My issue is that I have literally hundreds of data fields on over 30 pages. If one thing needs to be added to one of the pages, I need to add it to all pages--a big pain.
Anyone have any ideas?
