adding data connection to form template

    Hi,

I'm new to Sharepoint. I am following an example that adds a data connection to an infopath form. After selecting a library that has my workflow defined, I am supposed to see a field that matches my workflow name.  The only things I see related to my workflow is 'workflow name' status.  The example says I am supposed to see a field name that might begin with a special character. But, I don't see anything like that.  Why would I not be seeing the workflow in my list ?

    thank you

when we attach a wrokflow to a sharepoint list/doc lib, we give it the name, most people prefer underscore to make it known that it is a special field, so the field you are gettting might be the actual field you are looking for

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

I created a workflow, named "wfapprovalDocLib" inside my document library.  Is this what you mean by 'attach'?  I can see "WFApprovalDocLIb History"

and "WFApprovalDocLib tasks". What I don't see is something like "WFApprovalDocLib".

    Hi,

I'm sorry I will explain a little better.  In the example I am following, within Infopath with my form selected. I am selecting Data Connection, then selecting a form library that has the workflow.  After these selections, I'm supposed to see the workflow name in the 'select fields' list.  This is where I am not seeing my workflow name. I do see my form fields in the list though.

    thank you.

you better consult the person that has created this workflow on the list, he would be able to help you, he/she would know the name of workflow column
