    How to remove red dashed border on browser forms

    Hi,

    I have searched and searched for some assistance with this so am really hoping someone can help.

    I need to remove the red dashed border on the rich textbox controls and in its place need to add an asterisk outside the rich textbox controls that cannot be blank.

    Though I have seen posts that suggest a workaround of disabling the submit button and only enabling it once all the validation conditions have been met etc isn't an option.

     So what I've tried;

    • I have seen posts regarding tooltip removal by amending the .errorDiv in the ifsmain.css file. I searched for 'dashed' and found the .invalid div sets the border style as red and dashed. I tried changing this and adding !important - this didn't work
    • I have looked in the .xsl file of the view, this does not have any styles set to 'dashed'
    • I've tried to set the control postback property to never (in desperation) this didn't work

    Using firebug in firefox I drilled through to the style applied to the rich textbox and it looks like there is system generated styles applied coming from the xsn itself.

    If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.

    thanks,

    Harpreet
