Capturing digital signature and making them mandatory

Hi everyone. I'm using InfoPath 07 and have captured digital signatures on InfoPath forms by using a simple "section" with no controls inside it. In the properties window under the "Digital Signatures" tab the checkbox "Allow users to digitally sign these sections" is checked.

On press of a button i want to submit the form, and want to make sure that the form is digitally signed. As we cannot add rules to "Sections", how do we make sure that the "Section" is not empty? I tried checking whether the section is blank or not (by showing an alert conditionally when the section is blank). This alert shows up even after the form is signed. It makes no difference whether the form is signed or not.. alert always shows up.

So how do we come to know whether a form is digitally signed or not?

    Thanks in advance..
