try:
var oIE;
oIE = new ActiveXObject("InternetExplorer.Application");
oIE.Visible = true;
oIE.navigate("http://www.infopathdev.com");

Have you tried it from a new blank form? Just drop one button and copy that code in the script editor. Should work fine...
