I get a "Some rules were not applied" when query fails.

I run a query threw web services. If the query fails, how do I trap this error so I can display a dialog box?

I'm shocked that this question is un-answerable. Is InfoPath so limited in its capabilities or am I the only one in the InfoPath world with this type of problem?

It's not impossible to trap an exception from calling a web service, but it does require code, and it's advisable to avoid code if you can.

When you say the query fails, what do you mean specifically?  Is it because of a connection or authentication problem, or is the web service actively throwing an exception?

    Thanks for replying.

Just to back up a bit, I'm rather new to InfoPath and I am only the forms designer, anything else that has to do with InfoPath (Web Services, MOSS, etc) I have no control over. For this subject, a call is being made to web services to find all employees assigned to a particular supervisor. The query being sent is the supervisor's login name, the date being returned is the names of the employees. If there are no employee assigned to the supervisor, then I get the "Some rules were not applied", if there are names assigned to the supervisor's login name, it works great. I hope this help.
