    C# Email Control

    Hello all,

First of all I'm new to infopath but I'm already very impressed with what I've seen.

I have a question. I'm not after people providing me with the code - thats cheating - just some advice from those who are in the know :)

I have created an infopath form which I have published onto our mail file Server (Server 2003). All XP client machines have infopath installed and all can access the form no problem at all.

This form is a service maintenance agreement which the sales staff fill out and then email to customers. Great to a degree but when the customer prints this form out they also get the Outlook gumph on the header of the page.

Does anyone know if I can write a menu bar (namely in C#) which, when cliked will bring up a winform dialog box with a textbox for the mail recipient, textbox for mail subject and a multiline textbox for the message body. Yes you can do that by clicking on the mail icon in the toolbar but I would like to be able to send the form as an attachment (html or pdf - but pdf might prove a bit difficult).

My main problem is that when sending an email directly from infopath it comes in as the body of the email. I Want it to be an attachment.

I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say and as I said above I'm not after code samples. I'll suss that out myself but just wondered if anyone had any hints and tips before I embark further on my infopath journey :-)

    Thanks for reading

    Hi Ppuddick,
From the Designer, you can go to Tools->Data Connections. Select your e-mail connection and click modify. The default option is to attach the form to the e-mail data connection. Once you set that up, you can write code to it and it should still attach the form. Hope this helps.

    Thanks Patrick.

I'll give it a go tonight when I get home and will let you know how it goes.

    Thanks once again
