How to Print from within Outlook

We've created a form in Infopath that users will have a link to in Outlook message sent to them each week.  They will fill the form out following the link and then submit the completed form which is sent via email to someone in Human Resources.

When HR receives the emailed form, which is in the body of the Outlook email, they will print the form to put it in the employee's file.

The form the user filled out will NOT print in Portrait due to the fields being too wide [vertical Multi Selection List box].

How can I create a form of the data that can be printed from within Outlook?

Create a new view in the form that fits your print layout. Before you send e-mail add a rule that switches to this view.

Ok.  So I have the two views now.  And created a Button that had Rules and Code.  The first rule is to Switch Views.  The second rule is to do a Submit.   But when I test it, I no longer receive the email showing the filled in form.  The email is blank.

    Any ideas?

Yup, switching views immediately prior to sending an email will generate a blank email. Instead of a new view, use sections with conditional formatting.

You can add a utility field (to your main data source, or to a secondary XML data source) called 'IsEmailing' or some such. Have two sections on your form, one that is displayed while the user fills out the form, the other that is displayed when the form is submitted via email. The default value for IsEmailing could be false. The section displayed while the user fills out the form would be conditionally formatted to hide when IsEmailing = True. The section for email is conditionally formatted to hide when IsEmailing = False. Then, on your submit rules, or a button with rules, you can add actions that set IsEmailing to True, sends the email, then sets IsEmailing back to false.

You can just copy everything from the view you created into a section on the main view of the form, so you can re-use that effort...

Sorry, I forgot about that! Thanks for clarifying. I thought we had some way to Switch and Send with the view showing in e-mail. Maybe it was code that touched the view controls or something.

If you click a button and switch views and then have another button to send it should send the new view.
