InfoPath Dev

I have a situation whare our HR manager has to schedule appointments for each of the department managers to meet with a new hire.  So if Bob is hired then the HR manager has to send out a notification to each manager saying "you need to meet with Bob at this Date and Time". We have about seven managers he has to so this for each time someone new is hired.  He dosn't actualy schedule anything on a calendar or set any meetings.

So I thought I might create an InfoPath form he could fill out as part of the OnBording proces.  HR would enter the Managers Name, Date and Time and the form would populate the Managers Outlook Calendar.  Thats the key, it has to populate the Managers Outlook Calendar as they are to lazy to look at anything else. 

So my question is... Is there anyway to have infopath populate an individuals outlook calendar?

Or does anyone have any other sugestions on how this might be done?

InfoPath integration with Outlook is limited at best especially when it comes to calendars.  I wouldn't recommend InfoPath for this solution.

I've seen / recieved emails in the past saying to sign up for a webinar, event etc... at the bottom of the email is a link that opens a calendar item and you can just hit save and it's in your calendar.  I thought this was very clever and thought I would look into how people were doing that.  Of course everyone else wants me to work on their projects, so I have not had a chance.  This may be a simpler solution for you though, to have a form that emails out the calendar event and then the recipients (managers) can just click the link on the email and save the appointment to their personal outlook calendar.

thats a very good idea.  I've seen those also.  I'll do some research and let you know what I come up with. Thanks!
