    Can we access manifest.xsf file through coding?

    Hello All,

    I have defined userRoles in my InfoPath form and I have created Infopath Form Template project through VSTO of this form. All the data of the form get stored in the Manifest.xsf and if I open up Manifest.xsf file through XML editor I can see all userRoles defined there.

    So can I access this userRoles from Manifest.xsf so that I can use this already defined users group and their email address through coding?

    Hi Mrudula,
    I've never tried that. In theory you could do that, but it would be some work to parse the manifest.xsf. why do you need to access the roles using code? What are you trying to do? You could also create groups in Active Directory and use those...

    Hi Mrudula,
    You can access the user roles using following code.

    IXMLDOMDocument2 manifest = (IXMLDOMDocument2) thisXDocument.CreateDOM();
    mani.setProperty("SelectionNamespaces", <NamespaceUri>);
    manifest.load("manifest.xsf");
