InfoPath Dev

When I'm designing an Infopath form, if I navigate in a layout table using the up, down, left, right arrow keys, Infopath will crash and force to restart. It happens in the same cells, so it is consistant when it crashes. I can move from cell to cell by clicking the mouse. It is NOT in one form, this happens in multiple forms on different computers with different users. Some tables are fine, but once it starts crashing it will always crash in the same spot. I can't figure out what triggers it to start crashing. I'm using Office Pro 2007 & Windows XP Pro with all updates installed and posting the form to a Sharepoint MOSS 2007 site. This has been happening for a while, so it's not a recent update causing it. The computers have been scanned and are clean from viruses & malware. The error in the app. event log is :

You are not alone in your anguish. I have this happen to me as well. Not always, but it does sometimes, and it can be very frustrating and annoying. I have not been able to trace down the source or cause of the issue. However, we could start to build a profile here. I have:

• Intel Core2 Quad Q6600, 8GB RAM 
• Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 (x64)
• On a Workgroup, not Domain
• Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18828
• Visual Studio 2005
• Office Ultimate 2007
• SQL Server 2005
• ...and a variety of other applications...

If I had to guess at this point, I would blame it on the interaction between InfoPath and IE8... I notice other oddities, such as dashed table lines not always appearing correct.

We've just about decided to abolish using InfoPath. All I was told by our consultants was to use InfoPath for forms. Well it's been nothing but trouble. I can honostly say there hasn't been a single form where I haven't had some issue like this occur. On one form, it took me 45 minutes just to change the font in a cell without it crashing. I personally think it has to do with how the XML is created. I think it's generating bad XML when I put tables inside tables. But I'm totally ignorant of how it's generated, so I can't prove it.
