I have a 2007 InfoPath form published to SharePoint 2007 form library. Its a filler form. If I open the form using InfoPath 2010 designer, I could successfully submit the form to the form library as well as Access backend database. This is fine, working as expected.
However, when I open the form using InfoPath designer 2007, it keeps saying:
Some rules were not applied
InfoPath cannot submit the form.
An error occurred while the form was being submitted
InfoPath cannot connect to the data source.
InfoPath has encountered an error. The operation failed.
the form is a database template form that submits to the access 2003 database. The submit button has some rules:
rule 1: submit to the database using Main connection
rule 2: submit to form library appending some field values using concat fxn.
rule 3: show dialog message saying form submitted.
I m not sure why I keep on getting the same error while trying to submit the form using IP Designer 2007? What rule/s applied to my submit button is not working in InfoPath 2007 form. How do I make sure it works as expected as shown in 2010 designer?
All my form filling people use 2007 designer. So I need to make sure it works fine in 2007 too. Please let me know. Thanks.
