    Linking different forms together

     Hi,

I'm using Infopath and Sharepoint 2003.

I have a number of separate forms. What I would like to be able to do is open one form and then be able to open an existing (separate) form from it, edit that form, save it and go back to the original.

Ideally, the 2nd form should be available via a drop-down list... but anything that works would be ok.

    Thanks for your help.

I've done this using DBXL, but the technique will be similar without DBXL. http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/ernesto/archive/2008/08/20/how-to-add-documents-to-another-document-type-inline.aspx

     Thanks for the quick response!

However, I think this may be too complicated for my needs (and I'm a newbie after all).

I only want to open another form, edit it and then close it again. I don't what to transfer any data.

What I have at the moment is a hyperlink linked to a datafield which contains the url of the form\document that I want to open.

This works, but is not very "elegant" as somebody has to copy\paste the url into the datafield.
